my new cleaning/organizing motivation: guests

I found a great way to motivate myself to get the house done-- invite 20 or so friends over!  LOL!     I guess I could make this a challenge-- if you'd like to set certain tasks to be done by the Superbowl (Feb 6th), you can join me. 

We've decided to have a Superbowl Party... after all, the big screen TV in the media room (basement) is just begging for a party.   At the moment there are still moving boxes in the rooms that had to be repaired from the flood, there's no wallpaper up (it's sitting on shelves), the basement windows lack curtains, the bar has no stools... and the list goes on and on.  So, my cleaning & organizing will be pretty focused over the next two weeks, working on the "public" rooms first, but, most of the people coming haven't seen the house since moving day, so I've got to get all the rooms completely finished/organized and looking good.     I doubt that every cosmetic detail (like the wallpaper) will get done, but, then again, we're pretty motivated now that we have a target date.  Wish me luck!

That is DEFINITELY great motivation! We'll be having the family over in a few weeks for the kids birthday party and I'm already in panic mode! I want this place spotless! (It won't be, but it will be close!)
