My latest flylady experience
I have been doing flylady for quite a while. Not with the total magic experience that all of the testimonials, but with some success. Like morning, afternoon, and evening routines. My laundry is under control, meals are good, and I try to throw away as much as possible every week. I wouldn't say I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's not bad.
So, I have been noticing my family starting to help, with no prodding from me. Like I'll be doing the dishes (no dishwasher) and one of them will grab the towel, and start drying. One night my dh actually did the dishes, declined my help, and suggested I just sit down and rest.
Well, anyway, my dd and I were watching "Clean Sweep" on TLC, and there was some commercial where the mom was yellling and screaming about needing help. My dd said, "Boy, I'm glad that's not you, you always ask us nicely" I almost started crying, I didn't even realize that part of me had changed!

That's wonderful! Isn't it amazing, the changes that take place in our personality when we feel like our home is under our control?
Good for you, and good for your family, too!

That is a great feeling indeed. I'm glad that you're feeling better about your home and yourself
Flylady drove me nuts with those emails but I like a lot of her ideas.

I love FlyLady. I can stop doing the routines and such for weeks, then start again and in two days my house looks fantastic -- not sparkling like a magazine, but I definitely see improvements immediately. I'm so glad your family is seeing this improvement in you, even if you yourself didn't notice. Keep fluttering, sister!
Bright Blessings!

I didn't know she had a forum! That is great.
I like Flylady too. I go through cycles with it basically, times when I can't stand that many emails and times when I'm really into it. But the basic underlying system works well and I always see improvement in my home.
I agree at least for me with her premise on routines. When I fall out of routines (housework, waking/sleeping times, meal times, etc) I begin to fall apart and don't feel so good, mood or physically.
