Question Where does all this paper come from?

For the past couple days I"ve been going through drawers where I keep my receipts, etc. I have shredded almost a full garbage bag. Where on earth does this paper come from?

Anyone else with the same problem?

Yes. I have no idea how we get so much paper. I think most of it is junk mail (CC offers, etc.), receipts, and bills. I don't know how come it just accumulates. I know I don't hang on to every piece, but there still seems to be more than I am tossing!!

I was a cleaning madwoman the past couple of days. It was nothing but paper! It's so frustrating. So much comes into the house. I removed a garbage bag full from the computer room alone.

    Default I know your pain.

I have to get a shredder, thanks for reminding me of my task ahead! lol
I rip up our junk mail. Yet, my desk and a few other places are
    loaded with paper.

I think I also keep too many old bills, checks etc.

Can I throw away old carbon copy checks as long as I have the bank statements?

    I'll take any tip.

    Good luck, Jan

    Paper, Paper everywhere!!!!

I burn my old CC and Debit Card receipts as well as old (few years at least) Bank Statements, no nead to keep them after 5 years.

I am also thinking of getting a shredder to shred up misc paper for packing materials for the upcoming move.

Paper breeds overnight while we're sleeping!
It's amazing how quickly it accumulates, isn't it?

I know what you mean. When we moved I had literally boxes of paperwork to sort through and discard. I agree it breeds while we sleep, LOL.
