Question Can I do this cheaper? And I also need decorating tips

What I've found so far is going to end up around 1100$ total after tax..here's links too just so you know what I'm looking to buy...if you happen to know anything better for the same price or something like it for cheaper let me know

So that's what I'm thinking of getting mostly just for better function in the house..except the entertainment center is just mainly for looks since ours is really old.

I also need to decorate my house better..i just saw a pic from when we first moved in (PRE BABY Though!) and it was so quaint!

NOW it's all desks, printers, scanners, computers, music equipment, dining table, couch, highchair, baby toys..and just BLAH

    What can I do?

    Lol FrugalDiva

well I took a big step and wiped off the last of the baby food that sprayed on the wall..this stuff was above the door and I was too frustrated to get it down till today...and I also took down the dark blue velvetty curtains..they were just so dark!

So now I feel a little better..but I have a few more touches to make. mostly with rearranging the pictures and clock..the top of the entertainment center (and hopefully we'll get a newer smaller more modern one too!)

Oh and my dh LOVES the idea of that portable dishwasher that fits on top of the counter! so we are going to walmart TONIGHT to see if they have it in the store and not just online YAY!

I swear I must be the only one who doesn't mind washing dishes-just don't ask me to dry! I don't think that tiny dishwasher would help me-I don't mind doing 4 place settings, it's just once you get beyond that where it becomes a real chore. If you buy it, report back as to how much water it uses, how loud it is etc.

Oh I love to wash dishes too actually

ROFL there is actually an old home video of my when I was like THREE years old in my pj's washing the dishes standing on a chair..and my parents kept telling me to stop and I was upset because I didn't want to! LOL LOL

It's just *really* hard lately to keep up with all of them, and the house work, and the baby who is 11months going on two and a tornado by herself, and sorting coupons, and finding the best deals, and trading coupons, and cooking, and showering and exercising and shopping..getting sick, getting strep, graduation weekends, birthdays, ahhh it gets too much

I was wondering about the water consumption but realized we don't pay for it anyways so my only worry now is hooking it up to the sink..

I don't mind washing the plates and bowls..it's all the silverware, cups and serving utensils that start to really pile up..it takes a good 30 minute chunk out of my day just to wash the dishes and that needs to be spent on the countless other shores that I have to do...I try hard as I can to only use one cup a day but somehow that never happens:surprise:

Is it just me or are the days getting SHORTER I think someones been stealing a few hours out of each day!

but I did order this online, what was it..two nights ago now? So I should be getting it in around 5 days..I really can't wait! Finally a nice toy for me!

We are also in the same dilema. We NEED (5 person family, includes an 11 month old as well, plus 2 large dogs) a dishwasher. But I can not give up any storage space. I really like this idea of a coutertop washer. Im interested in hearing about well it cleans pots and pans.

I'll be glad to do many tests for you gals and report back!
I'm really hoping we won't be having to send this thing back!

I think you found some really great deals. I can't wait to hear how it turns out. I had no idea Walmart had dishwashers!

Unfortunatly for us the kitchen redue is a year away. Our next project is in 3 weeks and it is a living room dining room make over. It will cost us about $1000 and the only furnature we are buying is 2 dining room chairs and an end table! Most of the $$ is going into the walls and light fixtures. The $$ really adds up quick when you are remodeling/redecorating.

I wanted to update... no dishwasher yet, but we did buy some rugs!

And the best thing of all is now they went on sale at Target, and HOPEFULLY they still have that policy where you get the difference if it goes on sale next week
I'll get back about 15$!! wahhooo
