Ever notice how even a SHORT errand disrupts your day?

Ever notice how errands suck the life out of your day?

They sure do mine:

Monday was
* orthodontist apmt 10 a.m.
* dermatologist apmt 11 a.m.
* kids' afternoon swimming lessons/open swim 4-7 p.m.

and that's all we accomplished all day.

Tuesday was
* quick grocery run before the rest of the family woke up
* morning Mass
* morning music lessons (left Mass a few minutes early and went right to lessons)
* quick library run (on the way home from music lessons)
* evening -- kids' night at the opera (DD#1 went with a scout friend; DD#2 had a friend join us for dinner & go to the opera right afterward.)

and that's all we accomplished all day.

Wednesday was
* recover from late night out Tuesday (We left with the younger children at intermission -- got home at 11:30 p.m. DD#1 and her group stayed for the whole opera -- they got home at 1 a.m.)
* kids' swimming lessons/open swim (4-7 p.m.)
* quick grocery stop on the way to swim class (out of dog food)

and that's all we accomplished all day.

Today I don't have to go anywhere!

I have to agree. Seems like they do take alot out of your day. I was thinking that same thing yesterday.

never fails that if i have to leave the house i never get back on track! i am one of those that needs to get every thing done then leave. the other day i left at 9 int eh morning to go pick cherries, we picked, then visisted then it was 5:00! had to rush home to do dinner and got nothing else done
