Today is the day
Ok ladies..today is the day I tackle the closet in my bedroom. I hope to get rid of the clothes that no longer fit me and are cluttering up my closet, my life and my mind.
Are any of you also doing this today and if so, how do you feel about it?
Wish me luck, I am diving head first into the beast!!

DH and I are decluttering around the house this weekend. We have already made two trips up to the local Women's Shelter with donations. It's so much fun to just release clutter and to let it bless someone else. I'd much rather do that than throw it out or let it sit and cloud up my life.

Mamaw, how long should we wait before we send in back up to bring you out?
I'll be doing some major decluttering & rearranging when the last of my 2 heads off to college Monday.~*Darlene*~

I've been packing up what i'm taking to college next week. I'm living in an off-campus apartment (that i'm sharing with other people) because the college is short on dorms. This means i can take more than normal.
But it still hasn't decreased my room at home's orderly cluttered-ness. Somehow i can't bring myself to throw out some stuff- including the two years worth of Highlights magazine from a good ten years ago....

Well, I'm glad you mentioned the closets. It's on my list of things to do, the list being in my head. So, I'm going to do the same thing. I plan on trying everything on, and if it doesn't fit and look good on me, its not going back in.
I'm going to have different piles.
I pile will be clothes I like, but plan on wearing again when I drop the pounds I've gained in the last year. I'll store these up in the attic.

I just did this a couple days ago. Got rid of several tops and pants that I haven't worn within one year. I figure, If it hasn't been worn in a year (just because I don't like it/it isn't flattering) there is no reason to hang on to it. It feels great to have that stuff out of my house and I'm not looking back.
Good luck!

Good luck! I need to clear out some ratty old t-shirts I've been wearing around the house. Time to hit the thrift stores and find some new ones to mess up, lol.
