Stupid washing machine!

OK -- so my washer started leaking awhile back and I just made do with it. Turns out that there was a hose loose, clamp missing or something. The bad news is the entire bottom is soooo rusted out. So dh and I are in the market to buy a new washer. We have some $$$ saved up TG but just wish I could keep it in the bank instead. Of course it couldn't be the dryer. That I could make do without for awhile at least but a washer....thats a whole diff story!

heather, look around on freecycle for a washer, or in the local paper. You might be able to get a good clean second hand washing machine for a fraction of the price of a new one. Good luck.

Check out craigslist.com I always see a lot of appliances on there.

thanks for the tip gals. I was just checking out abcwarehouse and they have some nice ones for around $200. Now that would be doable and wouldn't clean out my ER fund like I thought it might.
There is also a FOR SALE listing at the hospital where I work I'm going to check out too.
