Decluttering 8/31/05
Last day of August. How about we round out the month with a good decluttering?
Can you grab a small trash bag, grocery bag, or other similar sized bag, take it around your house and collect the trash and garbage that is just hanging out? Check every room, every drawer, countertop, etc, until the bag is full.
It's a nice way to end the summer and we can go into the holiday weekend feeling successful!
I did it yesterday, but am going to try to do it again today. How about you?
**edited to add** You, of course, have the entire day to finish this challenge. Even if the last thing you throw out is right before you go to bed!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Well, does trashing stuff in the fridge count? LOL! I have already thron away some stuff in there and more to go ICK.
I am going to try and tackle the dining room table which DH somehow thinks is his personal paper collecting spot.

Okay, I tossed a bunch of stuff from the fridge and you can actually see the top of my dining room table! There is still a pile for DH to go through.

Good job, Cheryl! Decluttering the fridge is another one of those chores I can't stand!
I'm still working on my bag, but it's getting fuller everytime I hit a new room!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

I spent 30 minutes in my room. Boy did it make a difference!!! I will spend 15 minutes in the kitchen and living room this afternoon. We have a dumpster for our trash now, so I am inspired
Every bag means I am one step closer to having a clutter free home!!!

I finished the living room, and boy does it look better. Kind of like the Feng Shui thing where a room is more relaxing with air flowing around due to no clutter. I think I am going to continue with the Flylady weekly zones this month, and next is the front porch, entryway, dining room thing, so I will tackle that next

Well, my bag is almost full. I'll try to fill it up the rest of the way after the kids go to bed.
Tomorrow I start school (work) again, so I'm gonna take a few day break from decluttering. I'm expecting to be wiped when I get home and we've got a packed Labor Day weekend. I hope you all take the days off with me to reward yourselves for jobs well done. Enjoy your break and we'll get back to our challenges next Tuesday.
I'm proud of each and every one of you!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Decluttered my magazines! Got rid of about half of them. Good thing that most of them are free!
