I figured out how to declutter "better"
The other day I needed to get rid of a ton of magazines... I knew that I would look through each one and it would take forever... Not to mention I would find one reason or another to keep it...
So I asked my nine year old DS to just chuck them all.. I did not even look at any of them.. Now I have sooooo much more space.. And I don't feel guilty for not looking at them... I need to do this more often.
So what are some of your strategies on getting rid of stuff???Bonnie mom to

Bonnie,
Great thread!
One of my best strategies is to declutter when everyone else is occupied with other things or not home at all. Then, I just take everything right outside. If I let them see what I'm getting rid of, there may be a fight on my hands!!! (despite the fact that the items haven't been touched in years!)My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

I am with AmyBoz. I wait until dh is at work, dd is at school and ds is napping. Then I get a big black garbage bag and go wild. I tie it up or tie many up (depending on how ruthless I am!!!), and put them in the garage. If no one notices for a few months, out they go! And for the record, no one has ever missed anything I have "decluttered"!
