Have You Switched Your Closet and Drawers Yet?
Have you put away your spring and summer clothes yet? If not, sorry to say it ladies, but it's time! (Unless you live somewhere where the season is changing from winter into spring, then do the opposite!)
Pull out those heavy fall and winter clothes and pack up those fun, lightweight things! However, if as you are making the switch, you come across something that you don't remember wearing this spring or summer, it's time to toss or donate it. One season without a wear means that in the end, you just don't care. (Like the rhyme? It was intentional.
)
You can do it! The time has come!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

I got all of them out yesterday and went thru them. Tonight I am going to start washing them and then tomorrow when I get home from or, or Sunday morning I will put them all away and pack up the majority of my summer/spring things.

I only wish I could!!! It's still in the upper 80's here and no sign of cooling off. I'm tired of this heat

I don't switch. I keep one drawer that's for my summer clothes & they stay there year round. Then I have a drawer for long pants/jeans that don't need to be hung up, and two drawers of shirts & sweatshirts. My sweaters & nicer things get hung up in the closet.
I did this with my kids' closets & dressers too, mostly because I dislike the chore of boxing it all up, only to have to drag it all back out & wash it before the next season. Not to mention, on occassion we have very warm days (like a week ago when it was in the 80s) sandwiched in btw the cooler days (like this week where the high has been 58* as well as having cooler days in the middle of summer. I like to have access to all seasons of clothes

I've brought our sweaters/heavy clothes up. I keep most of the same clothes in my closet & drawer year round because I don't have many. I put away shorts & sleeveless shirts but that's it. The girls' clothes have been completely switched out. We're having a warm fall though, so it is occasionally difficult to dress them!

Well, just to be honest, I don't do a switch myself. I don't have that many clothes, so I just move the heavier stuff towards the center of my closet and the lighter stuff toward the edges. Still, even if you don't switch, you can identify anything that hasn't been worn and deal with it.

I used to, but now I wouldn't have anyplace to put the things I took out. I do rotate the clothes for the current season to the front of my closet and move the old stuff to the back. My sweaters are on the shelf in my closet and are always there. Look forward to cold weather so I can wear them. I have some really nice sweaters -- from garage sales, but they are still really nice.

I just do a switch around in the closet like a lot of others here, I also wear a lot of my sleeveless and short sleeve shirts under my suit jackets or sweaters..

I would be one of those that don't actually pack anything away... I am the kind that rotates where the clothing is.. I seem to wear my summer clothes around the house (indoors) year round anyway... That and I don't have many clothes to begin with.... But yes it is time for me to do this. I will do this today.
