    Default cutting board storage

has anyone installed those upright curtain tension rods before to keep cutting boards and such from falling over? They look neat and keep things straight, but i have never done it...any suggestions?

They can be used too for keeping serving platters upright instead of flat.

Haven't seen them and I doubt I would need them. My space is limited and nothing would dare fall over. One of my cuttingboards is actually hanging from a hook by my stove & counter because it has a leather strap to hang it from (made by a woodworking friend as a wedding gift).

I wish I did have a better way of storing my serving platters though...

http://www.marthastewart.com/page.jh...298&navLevel=3 here's the best pic i could find. these are all tension rods, and depending on how many you get you can customise the size of the openings to accomidate your platters/boards/etc

yes, and I love my dividers. They really free up space.

I store my clay tiles for baking on from Pampered Chef (the rectangles, I have 2 and love them)

    cookie sheets

    cooling racks

    cutting boards,

    muffin tins

and the splatter screen I put on the frying pan when cooking something spattery.

and it really really helps keep my baking tin cupboard straight and tidy. Makes it easy to choose something, pull it out, use it, wash and dry and then PUTTING IT AWAY which also becomes a breeze.

Missy I am so thrilled with your message! I have this problem and have been trying to think of a clever idea to correct this annoying problem forever. I bet I have one of those tension rods around here somewhere.
    Thankx.

neat idea. i can't use it in my big cupboard that has my pots and big cookie sheets, but i bet i could do that in teh smaller one over the pass through that has muffin tins, and odd sized metal baking dishes.

Wow- what a neat idea! I have a pile of curtain rods in the garage that didn't fit in this house, and, a cupboard stuffed with platters and lids to my big pots. This will be great!

I have all my platters leaned up against the wall in my pantry. I need to find some rods too.
