    Default I've noticed

many of you have posted that each family member has their own towel. I don't do that, instead I'm always fishing for a clean towel.
Now my question, I have a small bathroom. our only one. I do have a wall to hang towels, would that be on hooks, theirs five of us?
I'm concerned about how it would look for guests using our ONLY bathroom. I love the idea, would you have any suggestions on making it look like it is not a locker room. LOL

    Thank YOu !

once my kids are a bit older, they will have their own towels and i was thinking the over the door rack would work for behind their doors.

For now though we have te kids stack of towels in their bathroom and ours in the master.

I'd like to cut back and simplify things here, and that is on my list of things to do.

I hope this does not offend you, but my initial thought is "who cares how it looks to guests?" Really, it's your bathroom, and I'm sure your guests know that five people live in your house, and they've probably already figured out that you bathe regularly. Now if you would find it visually cluttered, I would pursue some of the options the other ladies offered, but if you and your family think the hooks look okay, GO FOR IT! It's your house.

    Again, I intend no offense.

We only have 1 small bathroom too and there are 5 of us this week off & on. We have 2 bars that fit 2 towels folded in half on each & the other goes on a bar in back of the door. Works for us.
Guests would have a nice looking folding rack to put their towels on and that would be in their room.

All our towels are White so in order to avoid "who used which towel" we each have a coloured clothes peg we clip on after use.

The towels are air dried & then folded over the side of the bath in the bathroom.

The over the door rack is a good idea and I agree with Valerie, it's YOUR house, so who cares ( but you) what it looks like?

I would suggest that you get everyone to air dry their damp towels before hanging them on the rack though, as damp towels would start to smell quite soon......so with five of them in one small room you Do need to work out a place to dry them off between each use.

This is how it works in our house, also. DH and I each have a towel bar we hang our towels on. The kids have hooks AND I have one of those behind the door towel racks for guests if they want to use it. Mostly our guests take their towels to their room with them.

My BIGGEST challenge is getting the kids to use a towel more than once and to actually USE The hooks that are there for them.

I have one of the over the door racks too. I think it is very handy, but I will admit I do worry too what people think when they use my bathroom. But, oh well...I try..

We have an over the door hanger similar to the second one Yankee mom posted. We use the bottom two bars (the top ones are really high) and we hang some fine washable laundry to dry at the top. The girls' towels hang on hooks. We also have a towel rack over the toilet where we hang our hand towels and guests can use that to hang their towels - if they're staying with us more than a day they use the same towel just like we would

I have two dd's that use 2 towels everytime they bathe. My bathroom is also very small. I have them hang their hair towels on hangers and they hang them in the laundry room. Some of our towels are not so pretty anymore but are still serviceable. This way they are not seen by guests and my bathroom remains attractive.

The entire time I was growing up, I would take my towel to my room with me. I would hang it over my bedroom or closet door to dry out, and the next day, grab it when I went to take a shower. This was I was *sure* it was my towel lol. now that I have my own house, I still find my self doing that sometimes lol.
