margery, thanks i was just sitting here thinking to myself," how am i ever going to get everything done today" grandson is here sick as all get out, he has strep, tonsilist, and scarlitina. he can't go to dd because of her pregnancy and his mom( who is now divorced from my son) has to work and has noone to take care of him. so it is me again. his temp is up, he fels like poop, and i have all this house work to do. at least i got some laundry done before he woke up. now he is on the couch watching disney.

i just found out they fired another girl at work so i am back to no days off again. the money will be great but i wonder how long i can keep this up. i get up in the morning by 6, clean or bake or whatever till noon, then i get the grandkids, then take a nap if the kids let me, then get up at 3, cook dinner and go to work till midnight. in between i go to all the grandkids appoinments, take dd to hers if needed, and have my neice and brother who live here also. they are all good about helping me, but there are soemthings that i like only me to do. sorry to go on, but i guess i am feeling a little over whelmed.

OH KIM BIGGEST HUGS HONEY!!!! You are some terrific lady!!!!

And thank heavens for Walt Disney!!!!! (I used to use Winnie the Pooh for a pacifier for a needed break to get stuff done too when they were tiny, and I think when I'm a granny I just might break out and buy me some Winnie the pooh dvds as well as some of the wonderful disney movies)

Classic Disney never wound mine up the way some of the other kiddie shows did. Disney and Mr. Rogers. They were low key and gentle. Oh and the Giant, can't remember his name.

you do what you can, and don't sweat what you can't. keep the priorities in mind when deciding what to ditch.

House cleaning comes after grandkid emergencies, and I think your priorities have been in great order, except don't forget that YOU need a hug and some rest too!!!!

well it is 6:30 and sister will be here at 11:00. the turkey is in, the potatoes are boiling and i need to get busy! i have decided that she will understand, and if not then next year we will have it at moms! i have stressed so much abou this that i could not sleep last night, of course i wasn't up cleaning either oh well, what gets done gets done.
grandson had a crisis the other night and "needed to stay at our house"lol so there went that night to clean. for 3 years he has been with us every day, i work nights so i can sit with them during the day. now that dd is home we dont' see him as often, well he went to his uncles and got in trouble, he got home and his 20 month old sister broke his favorite cup, so he called papa and asked him to come over, when papa got there he was asleep so papa left, when he woke up grandson was devistated, becasue papa had left. he called crying, and sobbing, and said" i just feel better if i see you" so into town we went to pick him up for some " mommom and papa " time. he spent the night. i know some are probably saying" boy he plays them" lol and you are right he does, but it is ok with us. i was never close to my grandparents and i swore i would be a different kinda grandparent. they are my grandkids on good days and my grandbrats on bad days but they are mine. so yes, my house can wait, and my sister will get over it. they are here 2 times a year, grnadbabies are here always!

    thanks you guys
