    Default Knife storage

How do you store your kitchen knives? I like good knives, we have a few Henckel knives that I really like, and we keep them sharp! I hate stuffing them in a drawer, which dulls them, and I really don't like knife blocks either. So....yesterday dh put up a knife magnet for me! I love this. We had one in our other house, but it was smaller, this one is long enough to accomodate new ones as I aquire them. This is a great safe knife storage solution

I have mine in a small crate-like decorated wooden box. It's on top of my pantry.

I have my good knives in a special part of the silverware drawer.

They all have covers on them. Jim keeps them sharp for me.

There is nothing like good knives. Mine are all Chicago Cutlery.

    I have very few knives.

My steak knives and butter knives are kept in my silverware tray.

My bread knife is kept in the same draw as the above tray.

Dh's hunting knife is kept in the same draw, however behind the tray so that no one grabs it and cuts their fingers.

Like Mermaid, we have a magnetic strip.

I'd like ANOTHER magnetic strip for my Wusthof steak knives!

I keep my Henckels in the knife block that I got with the knives. I prefer them because I can put the whole block up high where my little ones can't reach them.

all the knife sets I've ever bought came with a knife block to store them in. The are on the counter beside the stove and above the drawers with the rest of the silverware.
