Default Is there something in your home...

...that you know you should get rid of (for any reason...you don't use it, it takes up too much space, you and your spouse don't agree about it, etc.) but for some reason you just can't?

Might be a big item, might be a small one.

Radiology text books. Taking up half the floor space in the spare closet. I don't need all of them, just 3 (they're the radiographers bibles), yet for some reason I don't want to part with the other bunch of books. I'd sell them but they are outdated. I just can't make myself throw them away. And they're pretty useless to most everybody. Guess this is why I've put off doing anything about them. Sure would look better gone, though.

Not much as we got rid of most of that type of stuff when we moved.

I do have a chair though that doesn't match anything however it's so comfortable and was free, so dh refuses to part with it.

Maybe a few small things here and there. They're still hangin' around only because I just haven't felt like clearing out yet not because I want to keep them.

Yup, my trashy romance novels. I bit the bullet and posted them at freecycle and they will be picked up soon!

DH would say everything!!! He keeps threatening me that he is going to clean house one day, and I won't be happy if he does... I know there are extra desks and such that I don't need, but I am worried that if I get rid of them someone will need the exact thing I no longer have.

My son takes up more space than anyone- has more clothes than anyone, takes 2 showers a day- leaves the bathroom a mess- doesn't put his dishes in dw- uses my car and gas- picked the most expensive college to go to- buys junk food (I had to hide the ATM card so he can't use it anymore)- his room is smellie and messy-has 68 pairs of shoes- is NOT frugal in any way-complains if he has to shovel or pick up his younger sis-
    This list goes on.

I started to get the word out to all my friends and family- "If you have any household items you want to get rid of- free or cheap- I want to take it off your hands!"

I'm starting up a collection of apartment things for him... sort of like 'a boot out of the nest'- kind of thing. DH and I just roll our eyes and wonder- where does he get this trait from? We're so neat and organized and practical. Is it rebellion?

Otherwise, fortunately- he's a good guy in general. Honest, loving, good grades, hardworking- outside of the home: lol!

My engagement ring. It has been safely put away for three years. The ring is beautiful and the diamond is an oval. I only prefer to wear my band. My band is in a leaf motif the same as the band on my engagement ring. DH picked out the ring on his own and had the diamond shaped into an oval. Frankly I don't like a lot of jewelry and DH doesn't really care for the diamond on me either. So big on my small hand. The diamond alone is appraised for $1000 (12 year old), but I cannot part with it at this time. I just can't do it...unless we were in such dire straits that we desperately needed the money.
