Default Freshen Your House with Simmering Potpourri

    Here's what I do:

Take the smallest pot you have and fill half way with tap water. Add 1-2 whole cinnamon sticks, a few whole cloves and a splash of vanilla extract. Put on stove on low to med-low and let simmer. Yummy. It smells like you've been cooking/baking.

If you don't have the whole spices, don't fret (I happened to find the cinnamon sticks on clearance for $1). Just sprinkle a bit of ground cinnamon and ground cloves (opt) on the water with the vanilla extract. Make sure the pan you use you don't care that much about because the cinnamon will 'stain' the pan a bit.

I use wax tarts instead, that way I can carry them to the room they're most needed in

This does sound yummy, though, I think I'll give it a try today!

I love candles, tarts, potpourri, air freshners you name it. You can also take an orange fill every spot of it with fresh cloves and hang it up or lay it in a bowl. It will last a long time and smells wonderful.
