    Default Amy a few

thousand questions, only kidding just a few I hope!

First, I remember when I first came here I came across pitures of your new kitchen remodeling project. Which by the way came out absolutely beautiful.
We are now in the same process. We still have some final details to decide on. One of my favorite things about your new kitchen was your pantry closet! Did you have one before? If not, how do you like having one? How has it helped you out in your kitchen
cabinet area? Do you have more room for pans, dishes etc.?
Is your pantry also used for items that are not used as often like
    big pots and pans
    bread machine
    electic griddles, woks
    crockpots....things on that idea.

We will have this empty space where our old galley kitchen was and now we have to decide how to incorporate it into our new kitchen. So it would allow me extra space to make a real panty storge area.

Also I love the look of your black appliances, are you happy with them? Dh and I are trying to decide between black and stainless. With three kids I'm wondering how hard they are to keep clean.
We have white now but dh wants a new look.

Thanks so much! H~M Anyone jump in if you have some tips. tia

First of all, thanks! We love the kitchen, too!

We had a pantry in our old house and we had one in this house as well, before the "makeover." I think it is so important, because it just frees up all of the other cabinets for dishes and pots and pans, etc. I definitely recommend one. I wish it was even a little bigger!

As for the appliances, I really wanted stainless steel, but with the kids, I knew they'd be covered in fingerprints all the time and would be impossible to keep clean. So, black, it was! I like them, though, and am not upset about getting those instead.

Good luck to you! Post some pictures for us to oooh and aaaah over!

We are getting ready to move into our new house and we got all black appliances for our kitchen with the exception of the refrigerator. DH loves stainless steel , but I didn't want to deal with the finger prints. Well, we discovered that they make a satin covering for refrigerators. Looks identical to stainless steel with the exception of the fingerprints. Also, it doesn't require any special cleaners to clean the front of the refrigerator as the stainless does. So, we will have the satin refrigerator in the new place. Here is a link of what one looks like. (This isn't the model that we purchased though.)
