How many is too many?
gravy ladles
serving spoons for veggies
steak knives
set of silverware for everyday
spatula's
pans
dishes
glasses tall and short
I'm having a hard time throwing or giving away some of the above because they were my moms. I know pack them up until I can give them away.
Can you tell my kitchen is a disaster at the moment. I didn't realize I had so much of the same things piled up.
thanks

Here is what I have, only because I've simplified and don't need so many things in my kitchen. I only have what I use, everything else went to goodwill.
gravy ladles (non - I use a soup spoon)
serving spoons for veggies (8)
steak knives (6 - we bought a set in Dec.)
set of silverware for everyday (set of 8. I have 8 extra forks should company come)
spatula's (3, all different sizes)
pans (6 bread pans, 1 cake pan, 2 pie plates, 2 pizza pans, 2 cookie sheets)
dishes (I have 5 plates, 6 soup bowls, 3 saucers, 5 tea cups. I have a good set of dishes, setting of 8 should I have company)
glasses tall and short (6 which are a Tupperware set, and 2 glass glasses which I use. I don't like Tupperware)
There are 5 in our family. I have very limited cupboard space, however even if I had more, I wouldn't keep more.

I don't know how many is too many, I know I don't have too many of what you listed...but I do have too many coffee cups! I easily have 30-40 of them

gravy ladles - I have 2 large ones for soup, and a small one for gravy...I'd really like a gravy boat!
serving spoons for veggies - I have two, just right because we often have two different veggies
steak knives - these I have too many off...mostly because I just got a new set for Christmas and haven't gotten rid of the old set. I have 12.
set of silverware for everyday - just one period. I don't have special silverware (or dishes/glasses) for special occassions
spatula's - I have 4, they are all different. One is long, perfect for flipped two pancakes at a time. One is short, perfect for eggs. One is square, also great for pancakes or taking small pizzas out of the oven. And one is slotted, I like this one for browning hamburger. OH! I also have two metal ones that I use for cookies. Okay, maybe I have too many spatulas
pans - I don't think I have too many. They all get used, that to me is the difference between having too many and just enough.
dishes - just one set
glasses tall and short - just one set, I think 8 of each size, although some have gotten broken so it's not complete. But it works for us.
