Question Got a Magic Eraser free, what do you use it for?

I got a Mr Clean Magic Eraser cleaning sponge free last year. Maybe longer. I've kept it thinking ok, maybe sometime when I think of it, I'll use it and see if it works.

I love my ordinary cleaning stuff, but I finally tried it out on the white soft touch handles on my white fridge (about 6 yrs old).

It did a great job on that

but totally failed to remove a stain of unknown origin on the bottom of my microwave which seems to be right in the enamel paint and I've tried to remove many times.

What do you use yours for other than the usual on the box suggestions
--tire walls, (which even in my craziest cleaning mode I don't bother with) and
-- crayons (which I dont' have a problem with as dd and ds are all grown up)

I love the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I use them to get little finger prints of the walls and doors, to clean the soap scum on the shower doors, to clean the ring around the tub. Once, my hubby had gotten motor oil on carpet (not just in one spot, but all through the house). I tried cleaning the carpets, resolve, nothing worked. I broke out my little magic eraser and it worked. It got motor oil out of the carpet. I just think they are the greatest!

What I have found, is for the baked/burnt crud under the rims of my electric stove burner rings.. NOTHING else works as well.

I have children as well and I have found it will remove any kind of scuff mark from the floors as well as the walls. My 11yo dd thinks it's the coolest thing, so I rarely get to use it!!

I love the magic eraser..I give them as house warming gifts! (along with a set of furniture slides that I think everyone should own!!)
We have vinyl windows in our house and the builder left all the pencil marks on the exterior frames I tried everything, and nothing worked...except the magic eraser! Great for cleaning white sneakers, water spots, fly specks, all kinds of weird stuff!
My dh took one to work and keeps it in his office drawer.

I love them too. I keep one in my car for clean ups. I notice that my steering wheel tends to get grungy and it is great for keeping it looking new. I use it on my console and inside door handles also. It works better than Armor All which is what I used for years. I am with you Marjery, I am not cleaning my tires with it though.

I use mine mostly for deep cleaning - when I wash my walls every year, I go behind with a magic eraser and it takes off each and every spot. I also use it to clean my kitchen cabinets (they are white) and my fridge. My bf is a mechainc, so grease and dirt is a way of life, and everything he touches gets a little "dirty" so the light switches, handles to cupboards, ect always have black marks. Magic eraser gets them all off. I love that thing!!!

    thanks ladies!

Katybird I took it out to the car (car day today for the ladies bible study which I lead) and

    DID MY STEERING WHEEL!!!!

Now it is really cleaned up and looking spiffy. Got rid of that faintly sticky feel that I HATE!

I waited about a year to use mine too. We had company for dinner one evening and he scuffed up my kitchen floors pretty bad so I remembered I had that magic eraser and just went to town on it, lol. It cleaned the scuffs up effortlessly as well as the ring around ds's bathtub. It even got up some gel hair dye he had used years ago (blue, it was a phase). Then I cleaned my verticle blinds and the trash can. It was pretty worn ot by then but I found a few more places to clean and still have another one to use. I now recommend them to everyone!

I use mine for the yucky greasy splatters around the stove - grime around the burners, grunge on the hood - you name it.

It also works well on soap scum in the bathroom.
