Default What Are You Working on Today???

I just had a man come and pick up 7 old textbooks that I freecycled away, and I'll be heading to the basement while the boys sleep (see post "I'm Going In").

I also plan on doing some filing later.

How about you? What are YOU working on today?

I have to get the dining room cleaned up and ready for wallpapering today. We will be working on that this weekend. Also, there are a few things on the table I need to put away, because the order fotr my new quasi-business arrives tomorrow and I need a BIG landing space to get it all sorted out.

I had an occupational therapy visit for my wrist. She's BRUTAL! It was at my work.. but I didn't feel like going in to see my collegues.

I went to the fabric store to look around. didn't get inspired.

I went next door to the sewing machine store. Got really inspired there... so much so, I got talked into purchasing an embroidery machine. It's a used one. Originally sells for $4000. second hand for $567. I put a $10 deposit on it. But I just talked to DH and he doesn't think it would be a good idea.

Doesn't think that I'll get my money back on that investment. I'll have to sulk my way back there and ask for my deposit back.

I had plans to do a lot of embroidery for slef and for gifts.

Helped DH finish up a painting job on an Applebees this am. Then picked up a check for last weeks paint job. Stopped at bank and cashed check then stopped at AMSCOT for some free money orders and sent 3/4 of that check away. But all this monthes debts are paid up so I feel good. Have a few dollars leftover to go to our local dance club tonight and wear out alittle shoe leather. We haven't been in 3 weeks because of lack of money. DH misses it as much as I do as we have a large group of freinds there.

We installed one of those 'Suncast' sheds in the backyard.

It's an 8' x 8' shed, and we got it done in less than 5 hours.

Putting up a corkboard for bills to go on instead of the fridge.
Going to thrift store tomorrow after I return impulse buys from Costco (DH)
Banking tomorrow to depoit the state tax return (going to property taxes)
Maybe take my one dog to a dog wash, she really needs a bath and it is more convienent than doing it in the tub at home and cheaper then the groomer!

Today I baked the twins b-day cake and iced it, it's a soccer ball. Cooked a ham dinner, washed all the laundry my 16 yr old dd is putting it away for me, cleaned my room up, cleaned up the kitchen, chopped and bagged 6 heads of lettuce, finished crocheting the dishcloth I am making for my sister for xmas, and then chopped up and bagged all the leftover ham and put it in the freezer. I'm tired and going to bed as soon as the boys get home from youth group.

Today will find me mostly out of the house playing in the yard.
Inside I've picked up, made bed, filed some papers, threw away some junk mail and will be doing dishes & heading outside shortly.

Waiting for a visit from dd. I haven't seen her since Thanksgiving. She stays so busy with her work. Made a pot roast and baked a fudge marble cake--her favorite. I am so looking forward to seeing her. Hopefully, I will have her with me for at least a couple of days.

I have been v. busy today. Have bedding on the line, vaccumed the couches and washed and replaced couch covers, cleaned kitchen, worked on show stuff, started laundry, and need to hop in the shower.

i'm working on finding my house (it's literally buried under all the clutter!) i used to keep a pretty decent house, but i've slid clear down the hill it seems. so today is a baby step back in that direction. ive got laundry going and im purging every piece of paper i can (this is probably gonna take way more than today, but i've started).
my windows are open and the sun is shining in west virginia.
