transitioning winter to summer clothes...
Is such a huge chore due to my small clothes shopping addiction! I have a huge stack of clothes to give to my friend Vicki who is on hard times and love my hand-me-downs. The rest goes to Salvation Army. Anyone else working on decluttering clothes right now??

Oh, this is a major ordeal at my house. I weed through what can be given as hand me downs, what can be saved from dd to dd... what needs to go to goodwill, what needs tossed... then a place to put all of the sweaters-- make sure they are washed and long shirts, etc.. Have to leave some of them out for cooler days....
The summer/winter switch gets me nuts. Right now I have a pile of winter stuff in my room, bags to go through, a bunch of stuff in the hall. ACK.

I"m thinking about it, when I get back I"m doing the spring shuffle moving the winter clothes into storage and reorganizing my spring and summer clothing. It's that time when I take a serious look and decide if things still have a future with me or if it's time to set them free on their voyage of discovery to find a new owner to bless.

I hate the in-between-season clothes shuffling. We've had some days in the upper 70's and today it's only in the mid 50's. So we often need to have both long sleeves & short sleeves as well as shorts and pants.
I have been decluttering clothing, though, and last week I had the kids try on their summer clothes to see what fit so I could determine what I need to buy/make for them this year.

No need to transition here. I don't have much of either, so they are all out all year long. However, I LOVE hearing that all of you are decluttering and purging wildly!
