Our neighborhood is having a huge yard sale this weekend. I have cleaned out my attic, basement, and closets. The house feels lighter already! If anything doesn't sell, it's going to charity.

I went through the linen closet and made sure there were only two sets of sheets for each bed. Anything left over I put in a trash bag for the humane society. I ended up with a BIG bag of sheets and extra blankets. My daughter went through the grandsons clothes the other night and his toys that was two more regular sized trash bags to go to the smaller boys in the family.

Not today, but I am planning more de-cluttering in the coming days. I've run out of boxes to store homeschool stuff in to sell at the conference next year. I'm going to have to think of another way to do this... Also running out of room in the basement to store stuff for sale.
Still sorting through recipe cards. A long card file to go yet.
I notice I also have enough clothes in the front hall closet for a drop at the goodwill again.2012 Challenges

I got rid of a bunch of magazines I thought I couldn't part with. Very pleased with myself.

I gave away a few pairs of pants that didn't fit me an a sweater. No sense keeping that around , not enough for yard sale here, we get rid of right away or its garbage by the time were done with it.

I have been starting to de-clutter, a bit here, a bit there. I plan on freecycling some of it, but I have been in and out lately so I have it bagged up and will post it once the boys are out of school and I can be home for someone to pick it up. I have cleared toyboxes, linen cabinet, kitchen counters, book shelf, & boys closet so far. We have relatives coming tomorrow and they will be here a week. So today I'm just finishing cleaning and will get back to going through stuff next week. My next projects will be the kitchen cabinet with my plastic stuff and the cabinet with a lot of misc craft stuff (and junk).
