Shower doors vs shower curtains

I hate shower doors as well. As soon as we re-do the bathroom they are coming down..forever!

Thanks for all the opinions!! I also thought about how it would be hard with kids, but we don't plan on having kids until we move out of this house (2 years) so that won't be a problem for me

I plan on getting the frosted kind so maybe that will hide the soap scum some?

I have to vote with the hate doors crowd...but mostly because I can't keep them clean. DH is usually the last one to shower and we have VERY hard water, and the doors just get etched with soap scum and hard water deposits that I can't get out. That said, the kids have a curtain in their shower and I will say that there is a ton of water damage due to their not being careful about closing the curtain when taking a shower. (If it were DH and I using that shower it wouldn't have been a problem, because we would have realized that showerheads shouldn't really spray 360 degrees, leaving water everywhere. (The head was loose and spewing water everywhere in the bathroom, leaving the floor constantly soaked after they took showers, in spite of the fact that BOTH of them were very careful! At least according to them!) A 10 minute fix for something the kids didn't even realize was broken.
