    Question Swiffer ?

Does anyone know how to refill a swiffwer wet jet bottle. They make the top so that you can't unscrew it. I would like to use my own mixture and not have to pay the high price for the refill. I love the swiffer,I use it almost everynight after dinner.

wish I could help, but I just use a reg. swiffer (I love that thing) & the wet wipes - I spray the floor w/ cleaner & wipe.

    good luck!

i cut a u shape out of the top (which is really the bottom of the bottle) and poor in my floor cleaner diluted with some water and then duct tape it shut..works fine for us....i've heard some people use the super absorbant extra large maxi pads as pads.....i'll likely quilt some flannel into layers and use that eventually...

my list is LONG but time is always SHORT

Oh good idea! I'm planning on buying a wet jet soon and I was a bit worried about buying the cleaner bottles all the time. I have 2 small kids and a dog so I do a LOT of mopping.

We got the lid off our of our swiffer bottle by using a pair of pliers. There is a little plastic tab on the inside of the lid that prevents it from unscrewing, and if you twist really hard with the pliers, the tab will break and the lid will unscrew. Once the tab is broken, you can unscrew and rescrew the lid on the bottle.

I use the normal swiffer(dry one) put old face cloths on it, and scub with that from the bucket, and also use it for the dry swiffer way(dollar store ones)
