    Talking Clutter Control Day 3

    Good morning!

What is on your closet floor? Here's mine

If your closet DOES NOT look like this, either because you are naturally clean, or you have already done it, then you will do under the Kitchen Sink!

I have to take dd to the doctor at around 9:30, so I will be doing it after we get back.

Don't forget to check the spots you did already and make sure they are still clutter free!

~Instead of doing my fridge yesterday I worked for half an hour in the kid's closet. Currently my closet and under sink still look good from when I decluttered and cleaned them last. Guess I'll tackle the kid's closet again today. It still needs ALOT of work!~

I actually did both already... my closet is empty since we're putting down new carpet in the bedroom and under the sink is super clean because we just remodeled the kitchen, so I can't do this one

Well, we only have two regular closets - how awful is that!!!! For a family of 4 (soon to be 5) - IT SUCKS!!! good thing we're renting. My Dh has a closet full of clothes - I daresay that he has more clothes than me (not that he wears them.. lol).. Under the sink is pretty clean too - just cleaning supplies. So I will organize our hallway cabinet where we keep blankets, towels and bathroom eztras. Usually I would do this while dd takes a nap, but the cabinet is in the hall right next to her room. So I will have to wait for either ds to come down and keep and eye on her or Dh when he gets up (he's on 12 hours at work right now and worked 4pm yesterday to 4am today) I will take pics and post them later when I finish.
By the way I love these challenges. I was so motivated after cleaning the frig yesterday that I cleaned the whole rest of the kitchen. It is spotless now. Usually I can't get everything wiped down, dishes ALL done and swept and mopped in one day. Especially with being pregant. My feet were quite swollen last night.. But my kitchen is shiny and clean.

I'd almost rather do under the sink than my closet floor

I'll tackle under the sink. It's not too bad, though I think I can get rid of a few things under there. It's a designated "hands-off" area to the kids, so it stays fairly clean and organized.

We're in the process of moving our stuff from the closet in our old room to our new master bedroom, and we're still finishing the new closet area shelvin, so that's not going to get done. The kids' closet is full but extremely organized. I keep all off-season clothes and clothes waiting to be grown into in that closet in clearly marked Rubbermaid totes. It's also where the toilet paper stash resides.

I'll have you know I hated every single second of this. Cleaning out the closet is usually dh's job and it never looks good even when it's done because he has so many clothes/shoes that he never wears and refuses to part with...I get mad every time I clean the closet because I'm constantly rearranging/moving around useless crap.

    Here are the before pictures:

Notice the piles of folded clothes. Dh's.

Well, under my sink is a scary place too -- but there is not much under there! An extra dish drainer, a couple of vases and flower pots!

My closet floor --- *shiver* that is another story. I will take on the challenge!
