Living among farmland, it gets really dusty here, too. I have to clean the fans each week, or we get dust bunnies falling on our heads when we turn them on! I really hate to dust.

Well, I can manage the edges, but the tops have to fend for themselves. There is no way I can reach to do that; don't even have anything to climb up on that would let me reach them. Bombs away with the dust bunnies I guess -- or more like dust donkeys by now!

We just did the dining room, kitchen and living room ones, but the ones in the bedrooms I just clean the edges and the tops have to do it themselves, lol I am too short to reach them and I have a fear of heights

Ahh, no ceiling fans here, but a ceiling fan story (does that suprise you?)

First off, missed this challenge today, but worked with ol sourpuss at work for 8 hours last night at work so I DESERVE A DAY OFF (Will tell ya'all about her someday!)

At our old house we had ceiling fans, one day we were eating pizza the kitchen table, I bit into something crunchy and bitter, ugh, to the point of spitting (and I'm not THAT uncouth!) After getting over the ickies we noticed a few asian lady beetles on the table and one on the pizza, looked up and the ceiling fan was LITERALLY COVERED IN THEM, UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now these are NOT ladybugs! And I LOVE ladybugs, these are the tomato orangy ones with no spots that were released about 10 years ago to combat local pests, they congregate in warmer areas in houses in the winter (IN SWARMS!) and had in the spring come out! Our ceiling was FULL of them and they found their way out into the ceiling fan, uck!!!

Yep, now always check my pizza and my ceiling! And the shop vac works WONDERS on these suckers!

I took a swipe at mine a couple of weeks ago, and became aware that I need to tackle them with the appropriate gear (like a ladder and goggles!) How do you do yours? I'm new to this issue.
