Freshning rugs?
Just wondered what you use on rugs to keep them smelling fresh and clean?
In this rented house we only have rug in the setting room down stairs. Industrial rug at least 20 years old.
Next month Ill steam clean the rugs with the rental machines, but today I just used baking soda for 2 hours on it then vacumned. What do you you use?

I mix a few drops of essential oil into baking soda, stir to mix it up, and then sprinkle on the carpets. I vacuum it up after a few hours or overnight.

Glade has a product out that is a powder you can dust onto your rugs and then vacuum. Often times, you can combine coupons at Walgreens and get it for free/cheap. That's what I use.

I use baking soda on the rugs and then vacuum it up. I also borrowed my mother's carpet cleaner, she came over and helped me clean the carpeting last Sunday. I think it made a big difference (it took a lot of dirt out of the carpet). My fiance and I moved into our apt. 2 years ago. The carpet was brand new then. It's amazing what a couple of years wear and tear can do to a carpet. I thought I was doing a great job vacuuming too

I put the dehumidifier that the landlord left for us to see how much water is in this basement with the hear left at 17C. Its nice and cool and wonder if its too cool. Well hopefully in the next couple of weeks hubby will have gotten some cheap wood to keep the chill off and heat the rest of the house too.
I think Ill try the essential oils, this place has central vac. Love it.
