I'm a Freecycle Fanatic!
I've always used Freecycle, but the past few days, I have gotten the Freecycle virus. I have freecycled, since Wednesday:
2 boxes of baby clothes
10 hardcover bestsellers
22 VHS tapes
2 board games
1 baby toy
1 box of baby towels/washcloths
1 box of children's books
12 PC games
4 My First Leap Pad games
I think everyone is getting scared that I'm going to set them out on the bench to be picked up by strangers! I'll be getting rid of more as time goes on.My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

It is great! This summer I got the freecycle bug too and freecycled 30 VHS tapes An older woman had her grown daughter and baby grandson move in with her, and cut cable to save costs. Some were my daughters old movies & some were my grandsons old movies he watched as an infant....so it was nice to know they were going to be enjoyed by someone who appreciated them also.
Also gave some housewares as well to some other folks. Works well!"The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser - in case you thought optimism was dead." ~Robert Brault

lol..I do the freecycle thing every time I fill a box of stuff that I glean from my decluttering adventures.Have to laugh too...b/c my family gets scared of me when I declutter-thinking that they'll be set out on the front porch for pickup.I've often wondered what types of reactions that I would get if I were to place an "offer" that read : "Free to good home -Husband....Hard worker, wonderful with kids, high fertility rate"....naaaaa..think I'll keep him
lol

LOL.... I'm a freecycle-a-holic too. I have someone coming after a 'giveaway' bag Tuesday. It's a bag with some woman's magazines, 6-8 romance novels, a wallet or two, some used makeup. I'll probably have a few more things to add before she comes.
We (me and roomies) had a big huge box last week -- had stuffed animals, purses, a dog dish.
Till our move I'm going to plan at least one 'giveaway' bag a week to get rid of the stuff we're not going to take with us (I'm afraid if I don't give it away on freecycle, my two female roomies will fight over the stuff).
Last week we picked up a smaller, older microwave since ours 'bit the big one' at the beginning of the month. The broken one isn't even a year old, but it can't be fixed or returned and it's a long story why it's broken in the first place, but I won't get into the details. The 'new one' isn't anything fancy and the bell doesn't sound when the food is done, but it will get us by till we get to Alabama.Kim
