Default When do you take down your decorations?

I plan on starting to put things away today. I can't stand all the extra clutter.

Normally I would do it today, but the kids are sick and I was up most of the night, so I just don't have the energy. Hopefully tomorrow, I can't stand the clutter either.

I take everything down the day after. I like to get everything organized again the way it was.

Normally I leave them up another week or two, at least until Epiphany.

This year, though, I'm thinking they'll be down this weekend- I'm just done with all this extra clutter.

We are having a party on the 3rd and dh wants to leave stuff up till then. It aint gonna happen! I'd like to get it all down and put away this weekend. I only put up about 1/2 what I usually do, but I'm ready to do some major cleaning!

I actually took mine down last night because I had the time to do it and everyone else was busy doing their own thing. We put ours up veeerrry early every year and I like taking them down right away and starting the new year with a clean slate.

By 6pm Xmas I had the tree down, decorations boxed up and in the garage and all the clutter put away. I got home from my parents & the family celebration late afternoon Xmas day & got my 2nd wind and just plowed thru the task! My wreath is still hanging up outside, but will let that stay up for a few more days.

I had taken today off from work intending to put things away today, but I figured get it done and over with & then can rest & relax and enjoy today!!

I'm completely over Christmas this year, and would like to start taking them down today but I won't have time. Everything will definitely be gone this weekend though.

I do it a little at a time. Every time I go to the basement for something from the freezer, or whatever.....I take something down there, as much as I can carry witout dropping it. I hate a whole day of doing just the take-down.

I just finished taking everything down today. I already packed it all away and put it in the shed. DS#2 is taking down the outside decorations as I type. Gotta love him!! :-) I will put them in the shed later today.
