I keep a bottle of Goo Gone handy for my 3 year old's art work he likes to put on walls, furniture, window sills, kitchen floor. Also wipes right off. Also works great on stickers, adhesive strips and the like.

I have always sworn by goo gone, that's what I have used to get crayon off the hardwood floors.
