Alright so I have gotten so much already that I have lost track of how many items! I have gathered just today 3 trash bags, 2 boxes, and 1 grocery bag full of clothes to donate! That doesnt even count the non clothing items!

~Sorted and shredded a year's worth of receipts. I'm counting it as 50 but it was alot more.~

Today was a good day. I tossed 12 items and collected 170 things for donation.
This flinging stuff is very liberating.

Took a huge suitcase full of books, vhs, and dvds to Half Price Books to sell. Made 23$ and my bookshelf is MUCH cleaner!

Ok, its hard to keep track of what I am tossing. I had said 675 on 10/5, then missed that total all together and said 650 on 10/8. So I guess I am counting backwards! I can't keep the numbers straight, so I am just going to keep tossing and count the bags and boxes that leave. No more trying to keep the amount straight! Just hope that I can get as much of this junk gone as possible!

I finished up getting the closets, so with all the stuff that went from them I had 3 boxes and 4 sacks that went to the trash, and as rags. I had 2 sacks to give to a cousin as hand me downs. And I have 3 sacks sitting in the car waiting to go to another cousin. I was amazed at how much my girls got rid of! They really went all out and junked stuff they have hung on to for years! All the old chore coats went to the trash, new and better ones was pulled out the coat closet. I can't believe how much more room we have! Now it on to the linen closet! Yuck I hate that one.

Hope its not too late to join. I think I could get 1000 just off the bottom of the kids' toybox in broken fast food toys.

I can't wait to start keeping track. I need to week out my scrapbooking supplies as well. Each paper is one piece. Woo hoo! You're all doing so well, I'm fired up now!

Busy flinging my stuff today. I took an exterior light fixture and 4 or 5 pairs of old blue jeans to a friend nearby who is needing them.

That motivated me to start cleaning the main floor and go through the boxes and bags of fabric there. Took 2 bags of fabric scraps to the dumpster. Why do I keep the scraps? I mean, we're talking pieces too small to make a headband out of! Geesh!

Also sorted through magazines and papers. I picked up all my 'nooks' on the main floor. It was a massive job folks!

Well if it makes ya feel any better I am still at 910, have not gotten anything done in a week as I ended up with a friend giving me 4 cases of strawberries I had to can right away!!!
So now ya got time to catch up then!!!

Gave a huge garbage bag of yarn to a friend to store for the church charity knitting group. Not really a fling, but it's out of my house and into someone else's. Will be working more on the basement today I think.

Took a book to stitch-in to get rid of. Forgot to take my magazines. Rats! Will try to remember Friday.

Put a 6" stack of newspapers and flyers in the recycle pile to head out the door tomorrow...

Our second trash can got dropped off last week . . . and it's filled!! I know it was more, but I'm giving myself 50!! And that is only a small dent in the basement. Friday, I'll get some donation-worthy boxes and bags to Goodwill.

I am SO joining in. I have half a garage to go through, not to mention my house! I'm going to set a goal of 2,000. It sounds high, but trust me, I should be able to exceed that EASILY!!! I'm going to start tracking in my sig!

Ok several things gone this week as I run around like a chicken with no head. Here's what I can remember:

I've started seasonal sorting of the boys clothes:

2 pair of cleats
2 pair of pants
at least 6 shirts
2 pair of sandals
a kroger bag stuffed with odd paper things
1 chair

That's 14 more ... a sad count..I'm going to try and keep better track as I go the rest of the week. Since we're sorting clothes there should be more.
