Flung 214 yesterday. Sold 20 items to 1/2 price books, gave away an item, threw 1 away, and have 192 going to goodwill.

I didn't count all my items, so I am going to count BIG BLACK trash bags. I told DH about this "fall fling" and he is soooo happy.
I started on one end of my bed room on Saturday morning and yesterday afternoon I finished on the other end (this only includes one closet, I will clean out my closet when I switch out my summer/winter clothes). I took out NINE bags of trash or goodwill donations. I couldn't believe it!!! Out of ONE room. I can't wait to do the hallway closet and the bookcase downstairs this week. And if I get time, I will start on my kitchen.
Thank you soooo much for starting this. I think I will try to get rid of 50 big trash bags of stuff from my house. My prize will be a very nice relaxing evening at my CLEAN DeCLuttered home!!!!Mom to Sara Louise (11) Wife to wonderful hubby Chad

I've already started with decluttering and didn't count the items, but I will definitely get rid of some each day.
Yesterday I helped L declutter her craft stuff in her room, so that was quite a bit of trash.
I also filled up a kitchen size trash bag full of their outgrown clothes to bring to Goodwill.
Dave is in Japan, and I want him to come home to a de-cluttered home

I've been decluttering all summer and I'm not actually sure that I'll have 1000 things to fling, but I'll sure try!

~Today I put 4 books, several items from my gift box and a bag of faux flowers from my craft supplies into a box destined for Goodwill. It took a half hour to purge that much because these items are hard for me to part with. The box is full with 15 items in it.~

~While cleaning yesterday and today, I put 22 things from the kitchen and my closet into the Goodwill box and I trashed 2 grocery bags full of fabric scraps. I can actually see the surface of the top of my fridge now and my dish hutch now only holds the items that get regular use. I'm seeing progress!~

I've been decluttering a bit, but I haven't been counting. I'll say I've done about 50 items or so, I'm in for 500 more!

As usual I'm behind starting out on these kinds of things. I knew I wouldn't really be able to get moving till this weekend though. I pulled down the totes of yardsale stuff yesterday and gathered more "stuff". Out it goes today to yardsale never to re-enter. We won't count the first 6 totes as I gathered that stuff over the last couple of months. I still have got a nice haul.
- stove (DH brought home for the kitchen remodel and I don't like)
- chaise
- living room chair
- 2 mirrors
- 32 puzzles
- black granite sink (another DH found)
- baby gate
- 22 oacks of invitations and note cards
- small entertainment center
- 18 books
- truck load of scrap metal headed to the scrap yard
- 68 various other items
That puts me at :149/1000 plus whatever else I grab as I start going out the door in a few minutes AND those totes of stuff I gathered previously.
Gone, Gone, Gone
