What about shelves in the garage?

We have shelves in the garage, but there are things I'd never put out there. It gets super hot in the Summer and it's unheated in the Winter. Cans actually will rust out in the garage. It's not good for anything but short term storage.
I've gone over and over in my head just where to go with the stuff, but I keep coming back to my dressing room. It's really not what I wanted, but I think I can at least disguise it so it's not an eyesore. Our home is just so small, it leaves little options.
That said, I'm going to keep thinking on it. Maybe I can find another option if I move things around.~~~

My DH just put light bulbs in my chandelier, it's just beautiful! Makes me feel very possessive of my room. I just don't want to share it with food stockpile.
It got me to thinking that after all the cupboards are completely empty (I'm filling the butler's pantry shelves, still working in there) that I can put at least some of our stockpile in those cupboards.
It's not a lot of room, but it's certainly a start.
Also, today DH FINALLY hung my retro style clock in the kitchen. It's totally AWESOME! However, it really shows just how shabby the rest of the kitchen is. I need to work on a plan of action for that.~~~

I love chandeliers, Polly. I bet it does look beautiful.
And I bet the retro clock looks cool! Hope you find a good place for your stock, that you are happy with.
Today dh used the old shelves/closet organizer that he took out of our closet a few weeks ago and made a different look in my son's room. He needed that bad for his clothes and stuff. looks good and no money spent. I will finish organizing it tomorrow. 3 done this year!

I think it does Palooka, but it is a budget chandelier from IKEA. I used gift money to get it almost a year ago. Took DH a long time to put it up. I'm going with a French feel, with a bit of a modern edge so I think it will fit perfectly.
IKEA | Ceiling lamps | Pendants | KRISTALLER | Chandelier, 3-armed
Here's the kitchen clock. I only paid $5.99!!!!

I don't know how I've missed this thread. Been trying to read through and its so exciting for me. I LOVE decorating. It is my passion. I love doing it on a budget too...yard sales, goodwill, thrifts...just love it. I'm always looking for something I can use, switch, change, craft with. Ideas on things my wonderful dh can build for me. My favorite thing is looking at decorating blogs for ideas. I'm going to read through the pages now.
