I'm totally focused on getting the Snuggles pads ready to take to the shelter Monday. I wanted to make enough so every kitty gets one, and it looks like I might make it! I'm so excited. From what the shelter's director said, it sounds like they really need them for several reasons, so I hope it all works out and the Snuggles are the right thing.
So that was my day, crocheting eight Snuggles which exceeded my must-do quota of six for today. I also medicated the dog and that's about it for the day.
Sunday:
1. Make four regular size Snuggles.
2. Make at least two larger size Snuggles.
3. Mop floor in family room.
4. Medicate dog.
I'll be glad when the Snuggles are done. It's been a fun project and I'll probably keep making them, but not at this pace. It wouldn't be so bad but we're giving them to a shelter seventy miles away in a town we visit only a couple times a year, and we'll be there Monday, so I want to have as many ready as possible.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When we got our five kitties, every time we went into the shelter my heart broke for the kitties there. At that time, they had nothing to lay on in their cold steel boxes. Things have changed and now they have little beds in all their cages, so it's much better, more homey for them. Still makes me sad, but we can't bring them all home. The staff is very caring and it's a low-kill shelter, plus they've built a beautiful cat room where kitties can play and look out the window and climb on things, so it's a lot better than before they were able to remodel.
The shelter I'm taking these Snuggles to is a fairly new shelter, so I'm not sure what conditions they have there. I'm just glad they seem interested in the Snuggles. I hope they put them in the cages for them right away. I know the kitties currently have something to lay on, but it sounds like maybe not exactly what the shelter would like, so maybe these will be the right thing, I don't know. We'll see!
I know shelters in general have been under a lot of stress due to the economy, so I'm sure many of them don't have money for the little things.

I made my goals today. I'm tired and my hands hurt, but I'm glad I pushed through it. I'm looking forward to delivering the Snuggles tomorrow and hope they work out for the kitties at the shelter. I feel so bad for them and would love to bring them all home, but then I'd end up on one of those animal hoarding shows so that wouldn't be good at all. So I'll have to content myself with trying to help the critters who are patiently waiting for someone to go home with.
1. Make four regular size Snuggles.
2. Make at least two larger size Snuggles.
3. Mop floor in family room.
4. Medicate dog.
We're getting another freezer Tuesday on an early Black Friday sale, so we also prepped the space for that today. It'll be nice to have the extra space. I'll be able to make OAMC meals again, and that's a big help in getting stuff done around here, because I don't have to be making supper when my husband gets home from work and we can do small projects instead.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
