We hauled half a van load of junk to recycling today and the other half to Goodwill. It's good to have it all out of here. My husband took five fifty-pound feedsacks full of shredded paper out of his office and he's barely gotten started! Sure am glad we can recycle that.
We still have a long way to go but at least we've started.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yeah, and he has tons more to go. He hauled out a bunch of boxes full of paper stuff that wasn't shredded, too. He has thirty-seven years worth of papers to go through.

Here's upper cabinets -- January's project is finished. I may try to clean out and wipe down the fridge with this last week of the month.

Great job, MyMelody, and it looks like a lot of hard work, too!!
I finally "installed" my hanging basket yesterday. The battery on the cordless drill, despite being in its charger, was dead, so I did it the old fashioned way - hammered a nail in, then used the hole as my "assist" to screw in the hook. The basket looks great and serves it purpose.
One more foot to knit on the base of the dog bed, and then I'll assess if I have enough motivation to knit a top portion, or if the dog bed will become a dog blanket instead.
Once it is done, I have cleared an area in the kitchen that will be a little dog oasis. Pics when/if I ever get it finished, but I'm using this picture as my inspiration.

I've been informed today is the day we re-arrange the foam. I buy up foam padding whenever I see it cheap because I use it for so many things and it's so expensive to buy it retail. I have some high shelving for it in my sewing room but that needs to be re-organized, and we need to try to fit in the foam that's stored in the guest room, too. So it'll be interesting to see if we can make it all fit. My husband is going to help me on this one since the shelves are hard to reach. I hope it goes well. I'd like to get that all organized together so it's easier to know what I have.

LOL. I try not to say the H word here. I do actually use it quite a bit for dog beds, chair pads, etc. Some of it came out of our camper and we can't get rid of that, because it'll have to go back in when we sell it.

Here's the bathroom shelves with Dollar Tree baskets (I added ribbon, also from DT). The bottom basket holds hand towels and washclothes; middle holds blowdryer, mousse, hairsprays; and top holds lotions and extra soaps.

I was wishing for a 'love it' button myself!! Love all the pictures!!
SD - would space bags be useful in storing foam?
Every week it seems that organizing all my crafting in the LR and returning the LR to a real LR is on my to do list - and I do work on it - every weekend - WELL - this is indeed the weekend to hunker on throughh it to completion!!
Yesterday I spent 10 hours going through, sorting and reorganizing paper crafting supplies, raw materials, etc. Made tremendous progress, but am still not finished. So my goal today is to complete it all in the time it takes for the football games to be completed - I will have six hours - and no more shoving things into boxes!!
We have a birthday luau to go to this evening so I am planning on it being a personal celebration too!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Okay folks - I am sooooo excited - just got the greatest inspiration EVER to get our main floor cleaned up by Saturday at 10 AM! Received a phone call a few minutes ago from a woman I didnot remember - nor did I remember her daughter whose Hawaiian hula costumes (high school annual production) I sewed. Well - the daughter is getting married in September and wants me to design and sew her gown and those of her 5 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls.
Did I ever mention How much I love sewing? Especially hula costumes and gowns for weddings!! Am smiling from ear to ear with anticipation - and am now so totally inspired to clean!!
And I really need to figure out who the bride is and when I sewed for her!!
Sorry to go, but I have cleaning to do!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Well all my organizing of the scrapbooking stuff paid off today. I had two Korean ladies over teaching them to cook. I was telling them about a big Korean meal I cooked with our Korean boarder for a tree decorating party two years ago. I couldn't remember the name of the dishes we cooked BUT I did remember somewhere I had name cards for all the dishes. Sure enough! There they were...filed neatly in the 2010 folder.
Boy am I good!
They were laughing at me and amazed at the dishes I cooked up with my boarder.
So now I'm motivated to finish getting the scrapbooking stuff in order. Must get at that tonight again.2013 Challenges
