I have managed to get the kids' playroom/hangout room reorganized, somewhat. The problem is the purpose of that room. They want to use it (go figure). I can only get it clean for a couple of hours at a time.

I did move the small kitchen table out. It was in there to use as an art/project table, but took up too much room and just had stuff piled on it. rearranged the furniture, moved some large pillows from another room to use on the floor and bought a saucer chair. Gives them plenty of seating to watch movies, but can be moved out of the way to play on the floor.

Also, moved all our homeschool posters/maps to the walls in there. It gives color to otherwise white walls and when I am in the main living area I don't feel like I live in a schoolroom anymore. Now, I have the art closet to sort out. Ughh. I dread the thought but it has to be done. We can't find anything in there anymore.

I'm working on my quilt project in the evening while hanging out with the family. It is moving along slowly, but moving.

Wow! Sounds like everyone is doing well. I am at a loss for my March project. I think it will have to be cleaning up my sewing room and sewing items for sale.

Hope life calms down a bit for you, MH.

I got a drawer cleared out that was full of bits of paper with recipes I want to try on it. Now that's all tidy and organized. Not much, but something.

Thanks, SD. It is just making me nuts having the painter here every day. It wasn't so bad when he showed up after I had left for work and was gone by the time I got home, but the last two days, he has been here and apparently thinks that after a long day at work, I want to unwind by chatting about inanities with him. In addition, even though I made it extremely clear before he even took the job that I did not want him here on the weekends, he keeps bugging me every week to work on Saturday. (And I keep saying no.) I just got done telling him no for this Saturday, and I get a call from the window guy (since one of the windows is failing and needs to be replaced) that HE has to come out on Saturday to measure for the new window (which he supposedly already measured last Tuesday) to order the new one. Of course, HE wants to talk about all the famous windows he has installed for a good twenty minutes or so. I also had Angus' training, which is a two-hour roundtrip into town, and an hour of training, so the time gets away from me quickly if I don't pay attention!

We close on the house Wed and I can guesstimate how much primer I will need for the 2 rooms after that point. Probably 2 gallons.

Sounds like everyone is making some kind of progress! That's great! March really seems to be flying by but I have been making progress on the paperwork I wanted to work on this month. I have everything together...at least I think so ... what I have found so far anyway and will be getting binders from storage to organize it all by year.

Oh, that's so wonderful! What a relief for you! Sorry about the delay for the closing though, but the great news about the old house selling should more than make up for that inconvenience!

Melody - how wonderful to have sold your house! Everyone is doing so well on their projects! I guess I'm just not as dedicated, motivated or determined as I need to be.

My project is a hold over from February, de-cluttering and organizing my office. I've done a little, but now the sorting and organizing has expanded to the entire upstairs (the office was a bedroom), and every room looks worse than did when I started.
I'm going to work on it the today and this weekend and will report back with some real progress, I hope!

Way to go MyMel! Great news on the old house front!

I did get into my sewing room and do a clean up today. Also got things in order for some serious sewing next week. Hopefully I can start Monday.

I dumped off a big box of crap undervalued treasures at Goodwill today, and a big bag with a brand new vintage quilt and some other linens.
