Default Spring fling mission 2-Master Bedroom/bedrooms

This week we'll be doing bedrooms.

My plan is to tackle three bedrooms this week.

My rooms are fairly easy since we don't have much furniture or really much of anything in them. Zachary's room will be the toughest because toys have made their way into his bedroom, but I'm up for the challenge.

Alexandra's room is clean except there are a TON of clothes that I need to just part with. I've been saving boxes upon boxes of clothes and it's really becoming a problem. (her closet and dressers are stuffed) I'm just not convinced they're worth keeping anymore and I need to face letting them go.

They all could use a good dusting and floor cleaning, walls, woodwork, windows, etc.

I was planning on doing a little in the nursery tonight as all the baskets of clean laundry are in there, as well as the computer and all the papers and disks that goes with it.

Like Sara, I'll be doing 3 bedrooms this week.

*the playroom is picked up but needs to be CLEANED.
*my room is a wreck! It's the catch all.
*girl's room is picked up, I need to re-do the closets and mop.
*boy's room need a full overhaul. I use one of the closets for storage of out of season clothes and stuff

It'll take me way more than a week to tackle all 3 bedrooms here since they are the overflow catchall from stuff being shifted around while remodeling. I'll do what I can though!

I have to finish up my kitchen today. Only have 2 bedrooms to do since I do not do dd. Actually neither does she, but that is another story. Anyway, will start on our bedroom first thing tomorrow morning.

I was hoping that this was going to be our next task as our bedrooms are in desperate need of cleaning.

I will do mine, Ryan's and the guest rooms. Mel's room is Mel's problem. He doesn't like his personal space cleaned by me. Thank God - it's one less thing I have to clean.

That means 4 bedrooms for me to clean. For this task, I am not counting my sewing room as a bedroom.

Ugh- all four bedrooms this week? I guess they need it, though. The larger guest bedrrom will be pretty easy, but the smaller one is more like a store-room as it is rarely ever used by guests- only my 16 yr old BIL used to use it, and he is no longer allowed upstairs in our home. So it is a huge catch-all right now. I did clean it out about 6 months ago, but DH is really good at putting things where they don't belong as long as he can shut a door behind him as he leaves.

All bedrooms are done here. I was a couple days ahead of you Sara. I still have my stove to clean in the kitchen and then I'm done there too.

I have 2 bedrooms to do. Somehow I'm dreading this more than the kitchen!

Ugh.... I'm still working on kitchen cabinets! I will keep working on those as I get time and move ahead with the next mission.

We have four bedrooms... two we use, and two that are basically storage areas right now. One will someday be a bedroom for our next child (we hope) and the other will someday be a craft room for me- but neither of those is happening any time soon. So, those two rooms are clean, fairly organized, and rarely used.

Our master bedroom itself is in pretty good shape... but our walk-in closet is a disaster! That will be my big task this week.

DD's room is good, the closet could use some straightening, but otherwise it's in good shape.

If you don't hear from me all week send someone in to check my closet.... I could be buried...

I'm coming up for air! I've worked for 2 hours in the spare bedroom.

    - I had a huge stack of Laine's Letters I had printed out. I hole punched them all and got them into a binder.
    - I have thrown away a bunch of old papers.
    - I found a couple of things that went into the newspaper recycling bin.
    - I have added more to the donation pile...... 3 cd's, some number charts, an activity book, and more I can't remember.
    - I went through some papers I had saved for future homeschool lessons and saved only what I will use and got those stored away (they will be gone through and organized this summer before we start our school year this fall).
    - I found a big pile of recipes I have been missing and have those all together now.
    - I got rid of a storage drawer system that I've been meaning to get out of here for weeks!
    - I have another storage drawer system (4 huge drawers) and have reorganized one of them and started going through a second.

I told you the bedrooms were a catchall with remodeling going on! LOL

I'm off to the garden now to work on my herb area. I'll put in some more time on the spare bedroom tonight if possible.

I cleaned the hardwood floors in our bedroom, cleaned all the woodwork, and changed the sheets and dust ruffle and flipped the mattress.

Tomorrow I'll tackle the closet and the dresser.

    It was so dusty. Yuck!

Bedrooms huh... I think I can get that done. Will be finishing the kitchen here as well.. I need to get the light fixtures down and clean off the soffit and ceiling.. DH decided to use the skill saw in the house when he put the new stove in.. It made an enormous mess... I had a lot of the kitchen done then.. Just a couple of things to go though..
