Smile Article: Perfume For A Special Day

"You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger
    than your faith."
    ~Mary Manin Morrissey

    Perfume For A Special Day

Preparing to go out for the day, I decided to put on some
perfume. I had spotted a bottle on the shelf that I had always
loved and used sparingly. I loved the scent and didn't want to
use it all, because it was hard to find. I dabbled a bit on my
neck and wrists and noticed it had an odd smell to it. It still
smelt good, but it also had an "old" smell.

As I held the bottle in my hand Spirit brought a message to mind.

I put the bottle on the shelf, thinking I wouldn't use it as much
as some of the others, to save it. It reminded me now, that when
we have something that we love, we should use it, or it may grow
old or stagnant and may not even be able to be used.

Why save things until just the right moment or another day? The
    best time.... is now!

That doesn't mean to become frivolous and wasteful, just to stop
holding on so tightly to things because of fear that we can't
enjoy them or share them with others.

This is also true about our talents and gifts that have been
given to us by Spirit/God, our Higher Power.

We are all wonderfully unique. We are here for a purpose. But if
we don't use what talents we have, we may lose them. We may find that time has slipped by and there is no time left. Then we
wonder why we waited or why we didn't do more.

We all have the opportunity to help others, to listen, to hug, to
share a smile. We need to take time to do things we want to do,
don't put them off. If you are led or feel like doing something
nice, do it! Don't put off until tomorrow what we can do today.
Just like keeping something on a shelf, it might begin to fade or
    disappear completely.

I now surrender my fears to Spirit. I go with the flow of what is
natural for my life and what Spirit wants me to do. I pay
attention. I enjoy myself and do things I want to do. Taking time
to make someone else feel better, healing, writing, reading,
walking in nature, eating a candy bar, taking my vitamins and
    sleeping late now and then.

When we do nice things for others and give from our heart and
spirit, the feeling that comes back to us is incredible. We know
    we have made a difference.

I am releasing and opening doors for prosperity in my life, which
means I am always provided for in all ways. By letting go, we
clear out the old to bring in the new and that's a great feeling!

So, my friends, I urge you to shake the dust off your
Grandmothers quilt, bring out the good china, dance in the rain,
splash on the expensive perfume, not saving it for a rainy day,
because today is the day we need to feel great about ourselves
and our lives and make everyday a special day! Don't wait!
    You will be truly blessed!
