blackbelt composting
in houson, we can have a spring garden from october to april. the down time is may thru september.
well, our season for annuals and colorful pretties is over. time to put the beds to sleep. i have a full composter to cover the beds out front. time to empty it.
Today, i tore out, chopped up, and threw down in place, the dead annuals. they reseed, including the dreaded borage. then i cover with the compost for the hot summer season.
time to start a new hot pile. i have been shredding and storing newspaper and junk mail. i use the weekly grass clippings, kitchen waste, and other sources of nitrogen/greens (grin) to get the pile cooking.
with the contents of the bunny litter boxes (wood shavings, timothy hay, and bunny waste), i also compost in place. makes nice mulch.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.
