Default My brother and his wife are building a new home

they were here over the weekend and while we all sat around the patio he asked which of the rose bushes were ones that my mom planted (we bought this house from my parents when they moved away from here 25 years ago). I pointed them out and Gripey and I decided as part of their housewarming gift (when the house is built) we'll take them one of the rose bushes, or a big part of one. We lost my mom a year ago in Feb. and I think he'll love this gift.

I think that is a super wonderful thoughtful idea. How very sweet and heartwarming. (wiping away a little tear)

We lost our mother almost five years ago and it is soooooo comforting having little things around that was hers.

How wonderful! The best gifts I have ever received are plants. It's a beautiful feeling to grow a plant that has come from a meaningful place!

We've actually started new bushes off of these a few times already so it won't be a problem to propagate. I think I saw that same segment of Martha Stewart too and I almost never watch her.

What a wonderful gift. I've got plants in my garden that I got a start of from my mother. She's been gone ten years now, it brings a smile to my face when I see them blooming.

I'm sure your brother and his wife will enjoy the roses and the memories of your mom. I think this is a special way to show your love for your family.
