Garden ROOend
I woke up this morning wiped the sleep from my eyes and had a double take when I saw a big eastern grey kangaroo having a munch down on all my new winter seedlings in the vege garden.
I was upset I spent all day yesterday planting them all, watering them and contemplating all the people I was going to share some of my crop with as they share so much with me.
After the upset was gone, I grabbed a nice warm cuppa, sat on the verandah, and watched my new friend fill his belly before hopping away.
I decided he may have needed it more than I.
Tomorrow though I plan to put a little fence around the garden so I can enjoy some of the spoils as well.
Thought I would share my morning with you all.

cheers froggy

Well poo poo on that roo!
With the price of everything up, you need to charge him admission to your garden.
Maybe soon you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor. It is so wonderful to have raised your own food.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

you are hilarious, there just maybe something in charging that darn
roo. Looking forward to see if he comes back tomorrow, to get whatever little morsels remain.
As long as he doesn't think that he is going to pull up stumps and camp and bring in all his buddies
cheers

I like your attitude! Hoping what your friend ate inspires some new growth at least. That fence sounds like a good idea.

I have decided that maybe I could strike up a deal with him and do a little sharing. I am happy to grow enough for him and I.
Although he is quite tall even my dog doesn't seem to want to chase him off.
cheers froggy

At least you have a good attitude about it.
I hope that you are still able to benefit from the garden. After the upset was gone, I grabbed a nice warm cuppa, sat on the verandah, and watched my new friend fill his belly before hopping away.
I decided he may have needed it more than I.~*Michelle*~

I'm so sorry about your munched garden, and so appreciative of your humor. Thanks for lightening my day.

Well boo on that roo!!
But, I would have had to sit there and watch it too and sure wouldn't have wanted to tangle with it. A fence sounds perfect but can they just jump over it?

Thought I would update you all on my roo, In answer to will he jump over the fence. Weeelllll the answer is yes, in a single bound. He has been back every morning to dine in my vege patch. Frustrating yes, but he is a really good looking animal. Oh I should stop calling him a he, went in for a closer look this morning and he is a she.

Miss Roo knows a great salad bar when she sees it.

You have a digital camera? I'd love to see her.~*Darlene*~

And the thread title.. I had wondered.. "spelled Ruined wrong?"Well poo poo on that roo!
Did I laugh when I saw it was a kangaroo.
We don't have those here... so it was funny to me. (not funny for you of course)
But thanks for sharing. And what a good sport you are.
