    Smile Tomato plants...

My tomato plants have flowers on them ! I am so excited!!! Usually I plant them in pots on the deck, this year I used one of my beds instead and the plants seem to like it better. I can't wait until I get to start eating them!

Cool! Do you prune your plants? This is my first year with a garden and I've read conflicting advice.

prune as in tear of the suckers? I do for a while and then I forget to do it. Always have plenty of maters though.

the ones that I planted in the dirt versus in large pots are also doing extremely well. Lots of flowers, I'm excited! I think next year I will go all direct land sowing.

Isn't it exciting seeing the "fruits" of your labor??

This is my first year of having tomato plants and these are in containers on the deck. They are growing pretty tall and do have a couple of blooms on them. How do you prune and what do you prune? Also, what is the benefit of pruning? Thanks so much!
