Unhappy Help! Something is eating my green beans

and my potatoes. I was in the garden and the leaves on the green beans and potatoes have holes in them. What can I put on them? I don't like to use chemecials, I would perfer something organic or natural. Anyone have any home remedies they would like to share?

It would depend on what's eating them. But here are some tried and true organic methods...

    1.) diatomaceous earth
    2.) soapy water
    3.) pepper water
    4.) Neem
5.) bug picking (literally pick off the bugs and kill them)

Take 2-3 tablespoons of dish soap and mix it into 1 gallon of water and spray on the leaves. Just be sure to spray the mix onto the top and bottom sides of the leaves.

I actually have to get out and do this today too. Something is munching on one of my pepper plants!

Thanks for the information. I'm going to try the soapy water for now. I did see just a few bugs. Little black ones that jumped when I tried to catch them.
Suki, Where would I find the other items that you mentioned? Lowes, or do I have to go to a special organic store? Thanks.

You can get diatomaceous earth or neem at any garden supply store and Lowe's or Home Depot likely have them available.
