    Question Cutting Garden?

Anyone have a cutting garden? My sil gave me flowers for my birthday, and I realized just how much I love having flowers inside (as well as outside!) to enjoy. :watergarden:

    I don't but I'd sure like to

I have a lilac that I can cut from for about two weeks in the early spring, some iris's too. And three rose bushes. But Someday I'd like a proper cutting garden.

My wife takes care of the roses for some elderly neighbors, and they let her keep some flowers ... we also trade fresh lemons (from our tree that makes way too much) for flowers & garden stuff from other neighbors ... so we have flowers everywhere. It's nice. We also have heaps of petals for potpourri, you name it.

Early December each year I trim back the juniper and rosemary bushes, and we make wreaths that last until February.

    I can't picture a home without plants. ;-)

Hubby mixes flowers in the garden because they help attract a variety of beneficial insects. (he gardens organically)

Currently, I have a lot of various sunflowers (ranging from auburns and reds to yellows), zinnias, cosmos... and I don't know what else. I cut what I want and bring them in.

I also have my roses, daylilies, irises and tulips that are not in the garden, but part of the landscape. I bring them in frequently. My irises have a grape smell that just makes me smile.
