Default Excitment on my homestead this morn

I was in the bathroom and heard a loud HONK from outside. Go to the window to see what's up and an eagle was dragging a goose out of the water. It then sat there on the creek bank for the longest time stuffing itself. Wow! My Neighbor is big into nature/birds so I called her right away and she came over to watch too. Feel badly for the goose (and never thought an eagle would go after something so big) but what a sight we got to see. So cool!
I really want a digital camera with some awesome zoom capabilities. If I took pics with what we had you would have seen just a blob.

    Wow!

Wow, what kind of Eagle? In Ohio growing up we hardly saw Canadian geese, now they are there in the thousands. Have you seen an increase in native animals?I know we have a lot of hawks here in the city and one time one got a crow. All the noise from the other crows, could have woken the dead.LOL
