Default Hot Peppers and the Scoville Scale.

The Scoville scale is a measure of the 'hotness' of a chilli pepper or anything derived from chilli peppers, i.e. hot sauce. The scale is named after Wilbur Scoville who developed the test in 1912.

    Gabe!
Dh is a big hot sauce fan and has my plate rail in the kitchen filled with dead injuns (empty bottles). I can't touch those hot peppers. Years ago (when young and foolish)I bought hubby a large container (less than a peck) of cherry peppers and thought I'd be nice & clean & hollow them for him to stuff later. Well I should have worn gloves. Man I thought I was going to die, it took hours for my hands to stop burning it was horrible. Boy did I learn a lesson then.

I love the taste of a good pepper but unfortunately they don't love me so much.
