What are you planning on doing with all of those seeds?

Poppy seeds add a pleasant flavor to cakes, banana loaf, bread pudding and such like baking goods.

Sometimes I beat poppy seeds up in a coffee grinder or the blender and mix with oats or other grains to make a breakfast cereal. The view being that the more variety added, possibly the more nourishing for human consumption. Most seeds have to be broken externally or by the teeth before ingesting, or they are not absorbed.

A few poppy seeds add a lot of flavor. The seeds keep well in a sealed container.
