industerial park getting closer

Of the 470 acres that the county wants, 230 have already put in options. Only 10 homes are involved in the 470. The other land is used for farming. Some has been passed down from generation to generation. We got a letter today from the county. They want to talk.

DH and I are having a sit down with my in-laws tonight to discuss this before calling the county back. My in-laws are also my neighbors.
As I said before, we have our eye on some land to move to. Just waiting to discuss $$. The land is large enough for both homes. (inlaws are getting up in age and they depend on us for things more than the other siblings because we have always been closer) Not only will we be moving our things but we will be involved in helping them too.

Not sure I want to get excited. There is going to be alot of work ahead.

DH and I are going to see what we can salvage from our home improvements. We hate to see all that $$ and hard work to go to a waste.

Kids say as along as they can still go to their same school they are "cool" with it. They can if we can get this land we are looking at. Another bonus for the boys- there is a pond on the land.

I catch myself at times looking forward to the possible move but I am trying to keep my emotions in check. Our lawyer friend said to go slow. For us to hear them out first. And plan a second meeting to discuss things more. I like that idea. DH does too.

Well, that is how it stands so far. Getting closer....but still a ways to go.
