6a winter garden
I am going to plant garlic this week (thanks Durgan!) and I was trying to find if there is anything else I can plant here now. I never planted over the fall/winter because I thought it was impossible.
I live in zone 6a (whatever that means) and would like any help I can get planning a winter garden out.
My specs -- pathetic little 3x5 patch of dirt that I haven't grown anything but weeds in this year
Every spring I would shovel out and replace over 200 lbs of soil because I live on a corner and the plows would pile the snow/sand/salt right where my poor garden was.
I have a lot of containers to plant in as well.
Thanks in advance.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Mmmm, garlic, thats a great idea!
Can I plant some garlic that I buy at the grocery store or do I need a special kind? The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

I am hoping the store kind works
that's what I bought... Durgan has his garlic planting pic-blog. I didn't see anything about NOT using store bought...it had to come from somewhere...

Staying home doing nothing is a lot more fun if you don't have to do it.
