Look, look, look! Super excited!! eggs
these were laid yesterday...

the one in the center IS NOT one of my girls eggs, it's one from the store, a medium. The blue one (not dyed, that's what she lays) is from either Biscuit or Omlette, the brown one could be from any of them...(except for who laid the blue one)
I have egg layers!!

Missy, I'm green with envy. Oh how I wish we could have chickens. I never knew there were chickens who laid blue eggs. I'm excited with you.

Oh, they are beautiful!
You 've waited along time for eggs, what are you going to do with them?Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

Thanks ladies!!! I am just bouncing with excitement over these eggs.
CJ, if you are interedted in learning more about the different colored eggs, go to the community websites and find mine. It will link you to my blog, I explain a bit about different egg colors.
I am on pins and needles waiting to see if the girls will lay again soon.
I think i will save them till i get a few more and then make either poached eggs on toast tomorrow morning or maybe a giant family sized omlette!Last edited by Missy; 01-05-2009 at 03:46 PM.

I know how you feel. DH gave me two chickens for Christmas, and this was after him swearing up and down for more than a year that we wouldn't have chickens. We've been getting (on average) an egg a day from each of them, which is great considering it's midwinter and they're both very young and only just started laying. You can see two of the eggs in my avatar (along with my son!). DH says he's going to build a bigger run and when summer comes I can have two more!

I know chickens lay different coloured eggs. Ours just lay brown ones, but I've asked DH if, when he gets the next two chickens, he could get me a chicken that lays white eggs (for easter) and one that lays blue eggs (because they're pretty). I know he'll try to get them for me if he can!

Neat! You won't even have to color your eggs for Easter.
Glad they are producing for you.:perfect:~*Darlene*~

I'll have to start referring to you two by the screen-names vs your name-names! LOL
Sorry for the confusion!!
